Big thanks to Myra and Steph who made the fabulous Best Made Local Craft Fair at Stony Stratford yesterday possible. The sun came out to encourage shoppers and festive gift buying was the order of the day. Huge thanks to all those who bought mosaics for family, friends or for themselves as a little pre Christmas treat. Here are a few pictures of the table on the day:

Woburn on a Sunny October Day
Super Craft Fair at Woburn today with some really interesting crafters and visitors. Great stories from the amazing lady who sells her cards to help re-home ex racing greyhounds. All helped along by a lovely sunny day and plenty of tea and cake from the cafe! I'll be back at Woburn on November 16th so hope to see some of you again.

Wonderful Woburn
Quick post to say thank you to all the people that stopped to chat at the table on Sunday. It was a great way to spend Easter weekend and I hope all the recipients of mosaic garden gifts enjoy them! I met some new crafter friends too. Special mention to Ros Wood, who organises these fairs at Woburn, and her husband too who gets the enviable job of putting up all those posters and banners! Ros has a line of fantastic Aloe Vera products well worth trying. They cover everything from moisturisers and facial care to detergent!
I'll be back at the Woburn Fair in October and look forward to meeting up with some fellow crafters again then.

Happy Easter 2014
A sunny day heralds the start of the Easter weekend 2014. I've spent the day getting ready for a craft fair on Sunday at Woburn. Along with every other household in the country I suspect I'm hoping the sunshine will continue throughout the weekend despite the forecast of rain for Sunday. Whatever the weather if you're in the area so pop in and say hello. Lots of lovely mosaic treats will be on sale to brighten up the garden for what will hopefully be a beautiful summer to come. I'd love to see you!

Spring Mosiacs
With the warmer spring weather a burst of activity has taken place - with more to come in preparation for the first craft show of the season at Woburn on Easter weekend. Here are some views of one of my favourite pieces - the Ball of Bling, shown here with different sides uppermost. Built on a polystyrene base it's lighter than it looks so maybe it should be called the Mosaic Malteser Ball! The correct name for this kind of piece is, I believe a Gazing Ball, but Ball of Bling rings more true to its personality.

Angelic Fish
A Christmas commission was for a slate featuring an Angel Fish for someone who is a big fan of tropical fish and their calming qualities. Once the piece started coming together I realised that one lone fish would be just that - a little lonely, so went for two. The person who commissioned it liked the result so hope you do too!

Craft Fair in aid of the Suki Woodland Trust
Brilliant fair at Stony Stratford yesterday despite the rain which produced a magnificent array of umbrella designs and styles on show but in true British fashion didn't deter the many visitors in search of Christmas presents. Lovely fellow crafters with some wonderful stuff on sale. Big thanks to Cherry and family who organised the fair and of course to all those who kindly bought a mosaic or gave me feedback. It was great to pack up boxes considerably lighter at the end of the fair than when I set up! Here's the link to the charity; such a sad story but one which has produced a determination to make something good happen. http://www.sukiwoodlandtrust.org/
Talking to all the visitors to the fair gave me some great ideas for future mosaics so watch this space!
